What is a Clinical Research Study?

Clinical research studies are essential to the improvement of existing treatments and for making new treatments available in the future. Our clinical research studies examine the effects of investigational drugs for people suffering from COPD or asthma, and provide researchers with greater insight into how investigational drugs can be effectively employed.

What is my role as a Research Subject?
Research subjects are an integral part of clinical research trials.  Research subjects are primarily involved with testing investigational drugs for future use.  As a research subject with Berkeley Pulmonary, you will be able to discuss the costs and benefits of participating in a clinical research trial.  Upon enrolling as a research subject, you will receive study-related medication, physicals, and compensation for time and travel.  Please read through the links on the left if you or someone you know is interested in being a subject in a pulmonary research study.
